Season is long, says Tevez

Juventus forward Carlos Tevez is not overly concerned with Roma’s unstoppable Serie A charge at this stage of the season.

The Giallorossi made it nine wins from nine at Udinese on Sunday, thus maintaining their five-point advantage over Juve and Napoli.

“It’s no problem, there’s a long way to go,” the Argentine stated when asked about another three points for the Giallorossi.

“The important thing is that we carry on playing like this.”

The summer signing from Manchester City was speaking after he scored in the 2-0 win over Genoa – a victory which came after losses at Fiorentina and Real Madrid.

“We needed to respond to our defeat in Florence and we managed to do just that,” he added. “We played in the way that boss Antonio Conte had asked us to.

“Am I a leader and example? I’m always keen to help out my teammates, especially since people were saying that we were in crisis.”
