Atalanta Coach Stefano Colantuono was “satisfied” with the point against Inter and believes a draw “was the right result.”
The Orobici fought back from a Ricky Alvarez opener with the German Denis header in Bergamo for a 1-1 draw.
“I am satisfied, as we did slightly better in the first half and in all honesty fell back in the second, as Inter force you to use up a lot of energy,” he told Sky Sport Italia.
“At the start we couldn’t figure out how to counter Mateo Kovacic’s position. I was very undecided as to my tactical system, but didn’t want to send a different signal after our defeat to Sampdoria.
“Then Franco Brienza picked up an injury this morning and I had no more doubts. We gave more intensity to our play with Maxi Moralez to go on the counter and have a man on Esteban Cambiasso.
“As for the goal, I wouldn’t blame Walter Samuel for the marking. When German jumps like that it becomes difficult for any defender.”
