Verona boss Andrea Mandorlini is refusing to get carried away by his side’s sensational start to the season.
The newly-promoted outfit joined Inter in fourth place on Wednesday thanks to a 2-0 win over Sampdoria.
“Our Scudetto will be Serie A survival,” the former Inter player commented after the victory at the Bentegodi.
“We are on an important road and we want to continue on it because we are receiving some great satisfaction right now.”
Clubs hoping to avoid the drop usually target the 40-point mark as safety. Verona, after 10 games, have already collected 18 points.
The Gialloblu will entertain Cagliari at the weekend.
