Ambrosini in, Pizarro out

Massimo Ambrosini has recovered to face his old club Milan, but Fiorentina miss David Pizarro and Juan Cuadrado.

The Serie A fixture kicks off at 19.45 GMT on Saturday, click here for a match preview.

There had been some doubts over whether Ambrosini would be fit to face his former teammates, but the veteran midfielder is included.

However, Pizarro, Marko Bakic and Mati Fernandez are out of action.

Pizarro will undergo tests for a muscular problem at the back of his left leg, while Bakic sprained his ankle in today’s training session.

Fernandez had tests that ruled out a muscular lesion, but he is still not capable of playing.

Cuadrado sits out a one-match ban, but Fiorentina could lodge a new emergency appeal against his second yellow card for simulation.

It’s possible this will postpone the ban until after the Milan game.
