Gasperini wants Genoa quality

Gian Piero Gasperini is still not satisfied with Genoa’s performances and wants improvements against Lazio.

The Stadio Olimpico in Rome hosts this fixture at 14.00 GMT on Sunday, click here for a match preview.

“Wednesday’s victory over Parma gave us great enthusiasm, naturally, because it brought three very important points,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“However, now I expect the side to improve in terms of its football too. I want to see more quality.

“It went badly against Juventus because they prevented us from doing what we had planned. It’s one thing to have ideas in training, another to put them into practice during a match situation.”

Francesco Lodi misses out due to an injury picked up in the last training session, joining Alessandro Gamberini, Sime Vrsaljko, Mario Alberto Santana and Emanuele Calaiò on the treatment table.

“Lazio are a top level side. It’s true they haven’t had the best start to the season, even if they are fresh from a good draw with Milan.

“I expect us to put in a determined performance, the kind from a team that needs to secure safety.”

Genoa squad for Lazio: Antonelli, Antonini, Bertolacci, Biondini, Bizzarri, Centurion, Cofie, De Maio, Donnarumma, Fetfatzidis, Gilardino, Konate, Kucka, Manfredini, Marchese, Matuzalem, Perin, Portanova, Sampirisi, Stoian, Sturaro, Tozser
