“One of our best qualities should be to maintain balance, the kind that we don’t see outside the locker room,” said Pioli in a Press conference.

“We must balance depression and euphoria. The fans have been a valuable support for the team to lean on and rediscover their confidence.

“Success is build on faith, even in the difficult times. We must keep our feet on the ground and not think about anything else. We’re recovering and are on the right track, but we need to stay on it in a delicate and important game with Chievo.”

The 3-0 win away to Cagliari was particularly surprising, as Alessandro Diamanti was suspended.

“The team played very well without Diamanti. You were all worried that we couldn’t play without him, but with his return we can do even better.”
