“I don’t know anything about the rumours,” the available former Italian Under-21 boss told Tele Radio Stereo.

“All I can say is that Milan are going through a difficult situation, the people there are saying as much. However, I think they have what is necessary to get out of it.”

The San Siro outfit’s struggles have also coincided with a dip in form of star striker Mario Balotelli, a man who has scored three goals in seven League games so far this term.

“All of the people who judge him without ever having talked to him or coached him are making a great error," the ex-Palermo boss added.

“As I’ve never had anything to do with him, I won’t express myself.”
