Javier Zanetti has refused to comment on Milan’s recent troubles, but praised Ricky Alvarez after his goal against Udinese.
Inter beat the Zebrette 3-0 on Sunday, with the Argentine youngster finding the back of the net in the second half.
And the defender has insisted that he always thought his countryman would do well, but declined to comment on the Rossoneri’s tough start.
“Udine is always a difficult place to go,” he told reporters. “I thought we played well though, and deserved the three points.
“With [Indonesian businessman Erick] Thohir at the helm now, I think we can get better and better.
“Milan? I can’t give an opinion on their problems. But remember we’re talking about a big club.
“I’m really happy for Alvarez. We always believed he could do well here. It was a difficult year for him, but now he’s proving his value.”
