Reports in the Italian Press this afternoon suggest that Fiorentina will sit down with Borja Valero soon and discuss a contract extension.
The Spanish midfielder’s current deal with the Viola doesn’t end until 2016, but sporting director Daniele Prade is keen to tie down the playmaker for even longer after a string of impressive performances.
Valero has been an integral part of the Tuscan side’s growth since the arrival of Coach Vincenzo Montella, and according to La Repubblica, would be willing to sign an extension.
Talks will take place between now and Christmas, with a new contract, reportedly, to be signed in the New Year.
