Fans protest against Sampdoria

Sampdoria ultras staged a protest at training today, calling for President Edoardo Garrone to sell up.

The Blucerchiati were beaten 4-3 at home by Sassuolo on Sunday and are joint third-from bottom with just nine points from 11 games.

This latest defeat proved the final straw for some fans, who attended today’s training session with banners and hurled insults.

The team and Coach Delio Rossi were hit hard, as a banner urged them to ‘Honour the jersey.’

‘Garrone unworthy. Leave and we’ll applaud you,’ read another targeting the President.
