Chievo Verona have confirmed the dismissal of boss Giuseppe Sannino following the 0-0 draw against Milan.
The Flying Donkeys are bottom of the table after collecting just one win and six points from their 12 games so far.
Sannino, formerly of Siena, moved to the Stadio Bentegodi in the summer from Palermo to replace Eugenio Corini.
The latter could now actually return to the club in a bid to keep them in Serie A as he achieved during 2012-13.
Domenico Di Carlo, another former Chievo boss, and Carmine Gautieri are other options for the Flying Donkeys.
