Russia boss Fabio Capello could be rewarded for guiding the country to the World Cup with a contract extension.
Newspaper Izvestia have revealed this afternoon that the Italian tactician, who has been in charge of the national team since last year, could be offered an extension until 2018.
Russia eased into the 2014 World Cup, finishing ahead of Portugal and Israel in their qualifying group.
And the national federation are prepared to extend the ex-Milan man’s deal, as well as offering him €1.5m per year.
