Lorenzo Insigne has praised former boss Zdenek Zeman, claiming that the Czech tactician was his ‘teacher’.

The Italy international played under the veteran Coach at Pescara, and has moved to commend the 66-year-old, whilst also remarking on Walter Mazzarri and current Napoli chief Rafa Benitez.

“I consider Zeman to be my teacher in football,” he told Guerin Sportivo.

“He was the first great person in football to believe in me. On a personal level, Zeman is very different to how he comes across – he’s far less serious.

“Mazzarri was demanding, whereas Benitez is much more of a happy medium.”
