Parma chief Tommaso Ghirardi says he will do all he can to keep director Pietro Leonardi at the club after links with Milan.
There are suggestions that the director general could be one of the new faces at San Siro from next season.
“Leonardi is not just a simple director for me,” the Gialloblu President told TMW on Thursday. “He’s more of a friend.
“I’m honoured that he is being linked with big clubs, but I will always do the maximum in order to keep him here with us.”
Leonardi, who will be 50 in December, has a contract at Parma until 2017.
He’s worked for clubs such as Empoli, Juventus, Udinese and Cisco Roma in the past. He has also been linked with Roma and Lazio in recent years.
