The Nerazzurri came from 1-0 down to net a point in the 1-1 draw, but they created enough openings to win the game.

“It’s a shame about today,” the goalkeeper told Inter Channel. “We had so many chances and wasted so many of them.

“But if you don’t score then things get difficult. In games like these it often happens that, if you score first, things turn out differently.

“But sometimes you even lose games like these. We need to be positive and move forward.”

Inter had the chance to join Napoli in third, but instead they are now just two points adrift of the Champions League zone.

The Nerazzurri have only lost once this season, but they have won just three of their last eight matches.

Inter play Sampdoria, Parma and Napoli next before the Milan derby.
