“I wouldn’t take third, but I’d take first,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “That’s because Inter deserve to always be in first place.

“I trust my team, we're all doing our jobs, each and every one of us. We need to take things one match at a time and see where we are come the end.

“We also have an intelligent Coach,” he stated when asked about Walter Mazzarri. “He understands Italian football well, he also looks at us as individuals and speaks to each of us.

“He's a great Coach and he will be for a long time to come. He's doing well because he's helping the team and the team will help him.”
