Marco Verratti has no regrets at all about leaving Italy to ply his trade in Ligue 1 with Paris Saint-Germain.
The now 21-year-old joined PSG from then Serie B club Pescara for €12m in 2012, despite also being of interest to Juventus and Napoli amongst others.
“I remain convinced that I made the right choice,” the playmaker told Rai Sport. “I’m part of a great team and I play alongside lots of champions.
“I certainly don’t miss Serie A seeing as I am very happy here.
“It was risky to leave my family at the age of 20, but this was the best choice for me. Paris is a city that opens your mind, you are in contact with the cultures from around the world.”
