“We had an excellent result at Napoli and that must help us understand what approach we have to take to games,” said Donadoni after the 1-0 win at the San Paolo.

“Consistency is a word often used, but it must be in terms of performances even more than results. Physically and psychologically, we are in good shape.

“We know Bologna have certain characteristics, but if we take the same approach as last Saturday, then we’ll create a positive basis for a good result.

“It is important to work on ourselves, as it’s only right there is enthusiasm and optimism after Napoli, but we mustn’t let the tension drop. We need to be more focused on details and removing complacency, otherwise we’ll end up wasting more opportunities without learning from the past.”

Walter Gargano and Aleandro Rosi are suspended for this match, while Daniele Galloppa, Stefano Okaka and Nicola Pavarini are sidelined.

Parma squad for Bologna: Acquah, Amauri, Bajza, Benalouane, Biabiany, Cassani, Cassano, Coric, Felipe, Gobbi, Kone, Lucarelli, Marchionni, Mendes, Mesbah, Mirante, Munari, Obi, Paletta, Palladino, Parolo, Sansone, Valdes
