“If I get a call to the national team then I’ll be happy, otherwise peace,” stated the midfielder to Sky Sport Italia.

“There is always hope because to play in a World Cup would be something unique. I know it will be quite difficult for me, but a call would be very satisfying.”

The Viola moved up to joint-fourth in the standings and the former Villarreal man is now looking to continue climbing the standings.

“We are looking at the table like everyone else,” he continued. “We are now fourth, but we are going to Roma at the weekend with the intention of winning.”

Roma are second in Serie A, seven points ahead of Inter and the Tuscan outfit.
