Alberto Paloschi bagged a brace in the opening 25 minutes, converting a penalty and firing in an angled drive.

Matteo Gentili kept Reggina in the running with his goal from a corner, but it was to prove nothing more than a consolation.

In the second half Matteo Ardemagni’s low drive and a Victor Da Silva header put the result beyond doubt.

Chievo will face Fiorentina in the Fifth Round in January.
