‘Atalanta really wanted to progress’

Giulio Migliaccio has commented that Atalanta’s win over Sassuolo came about thanks to their collective desire to progress and face Napoli.

The Orobici can prepare for a Coppa Italia Fifth Round test against Rafa Benitez’s team after dispatching of Sassuolo in last night’s Fourth Round 2-0.

“Despite the many young players on the field and the incredible injury situation, we really wanted to go through,” midfielder and captain Migliaccio enthused afterwards.

“We are Atalanata and we appreciate the strong players that we have in the first team and that these are the right occasions.

“Now we are going to Napoli and it will be a good match for everyone.”

Focus is already on the weekend trip to Hellas Verona, though.

“We have done little on the road so far, whilst we are now going to a big ground. The numbers say that we need to improve away from home and we will start at Verona because Atalanta deserves to be in a more relaxed position in the table.”
