Galatasaray boss Roberto Mancini says his side will show patience in their must-win Champions League tie against Juventus.

The two teams will meet in Istanbul on Tuesday, with the home side needing three points to qualify. Juventus will require just a draw.

“The objective is to remain compact,” the Italian noted on Monday. “A goal could arrive at any time over the course of 90 minutes.

“We’re hopeful of the outcome, we’ll be focused on the win in the hope that all will go well for us out there.

“Our primary goal is not conceding. If we do not allow our rivals to find chances, I think we will win this game.

“Our target is definitely qualifying for the next round. We are not thinking of another possibility such as finishing the group in third place.”

Juventus will be without key player Andrea Pirlo for the tie given that he will be sidelined until the new year with injury.

“It will be difficult for Juventus boss Antonio Conte without Pirlo,” Mancio added. “Pirlo is a magnificent player and Juventus will lose power without him tomorrow.

“But they have good quality players who they can replace him with.”

Meanwhile, Galatasaray and former Lazio ‘keeper Fernando Muslera noted: “It will be very difficult game. Our preparations are about winning the game and qualifying for the next round.”
