Milan President Silvio Berlusconi and his daughter Barbara met with the team ahead of tomorrow’s match with Ajax.

The patron flew in on his personal helicopter and was accompanied by Barbara, the new joint CEO of the club, but Adriano Galliani was notable by his absence.

“I came here to be close to the team. I hope that I bring them good luck,” he said when leaving the get-together.

“I embraced each of the lads, one by one. Naturally I tried to bring back the memory of what was the great Milan side and that we still are the club that has won the most international trophies in the world.

“I supported them and hope I started work on making them feel they belong at Milan. If I have time to return here as often as I did in the first 10 years of my presidency, I hope it can have some positive effect.”

Silvio Berlusconi met with Coach Massimiliano Allegri and several players in the gym, then gathered the entire squad into the Press Conference room.

Here he stood at the front and gave a speech, eager to motivate them for tomorrow night’s Champions League decider.

Milan need at least a point against Ajax at San Siro to qualify for the knockouts.

The meeting lasted for around 45 minutes and also gave Barbara the opportunity to unveil her new-look red hair with severe fringe.
