Vincenzo Montella’s Fiorentina fight Dnipro for top spot, but he warns Juventus are “already Europa League Finalists.”

The Viola and the Ukrainians have already qualified for the Round of 32, but go head-to-head in Florence tomorrow at 18.00 GMT to win the group. Click here for our Europa League section.

“We only need a draw, but we are really not capable of playing for a draw,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“We were constructed to play good football, so when we have to defend it is a struggle. We need to keep Dnipro as far away from our penalty area as possible, so attack is the best form of defence.

“Every game is important and it is our duty to honour this competition. I will field the team that I considered most suited to the fixture and to the characteristics of our opponents. Dnipro are a strong side and we saw that when we played on their home turf.

“Our 2-1 win away to Dnipro showed great attacking verve and determination, perhaps because we were coming off a last-gasp draw. I’d always like to see that attitude.

“We really do care about finishing top of the group. Will I change the system? We really aren’t built to defend, so changing the system cannot change the characteristics of the players.”

Juventus have gone out of the Champions League with a 1-0 defeat to Galatasaray, so they go into the Europa League draw for the Round of 32. Curiously the Final will be at the Juventus Stadium in Turin.

“We already know one of the Europa League Finalists, then…” smiled Montella.

“To be honest, looking too far ahead doesn’t help anyone. Let’s see what the draw provides and then take it one game at a time.”
