Mehdi Benatia has no regrets about choosing to join Roma after leaving Udinese during the summer transfer session.
The Moroccan centre-back cost the capital giants a significant €13.5m, but that looks like it was money well spent given his performances so far.
“I’m really happy at Roma,” stated the 26-year-old. “I feel like a Romanista – I’ve said that before but that is only because it is true.
“Roma are a side who I have always liked, even when I was playing for Udinese. It is a special side with special fans.”
The Giallorossi began the League campaign with 10 straight wins, but they have now lost the leadership to champions Juventus.
“Roma are in good shape,” he added. “We are a great squad, we know our strengths and we always work to win.
“The Scudetto? You’ll see what our objectives are in May.”
Roma will play at Milan on Monday night.
