Italy boss Cesare Prandelli says he’s going to Brazil next summer with the intention of bringing home the World Cup.
“I always say to my players that if they want to dream, then they must dream big,” he noted. “Mine is to win the World Cup.
“To have nice thoughts is positive and contagious,” he added. “It has worked in the past, it can work again.”
The Azzurri will have a tough group to navigate though as their failure to be seeded has left them in a section containing Uruguay, England and Costa Rica.
“The ranking system needs changing, that is for sure,” he continued. “In the space of a few days we went from seventh to ninth.”
The CT was also asked about how many doubts he had with regard to the 23-man squad he will take to South America.
“There are between three and five spots that need to be definitively occupied,” he explained.
“All will depend on the form and condition of a variety of players. But the doors of the national side are open to everyone, nobody is excluded.”
