Japan Coach Alberto Zaccheroni believes new buy Keisuke Honda “has the right characteristics to shine at Milan.”
The midfielder will arrive in January on a Bosman deal after his contract with CSKA Moscow expires on December 31. He has been handed the Number 10 jersey.
“I am certain Honda has the quality to play in Serie A,” said Zaccheroni in a Press conference.
“He has the right characteristics to shine at a world class side like Milan, whether they are physical, technical or moral characteristics.
“Keisuke is a player of great personality and on top of technique I consider that to be fundamental in a player. This aspect will really help him.
“He will find a lot of competition, as Milan in their history have had some extraordinary players wear the Number 10.
“Honda must not consider signing for Milan as the pinnacle of his career, though. The important thing is not to arrive at Milan, but to arrive at Milan and be able to play consistently.”
