Sinisa Mihajlovic has revived Sampdoria and takes on Chievo today, but warns “the squad has to be reduced.”

“As a Coach I judge the performance, because that is what gives you confidence going forward,” said Mihajlovic in his Press conference.
“If the results arrive too, then that’s even better. It would be important for us to give a sense of consistency to our path and a victory against Chievo would be a big step forward.
“I expect an open game, as it is a great moment of form for both teams. We will go there trying to play our football and to win.”
Andrea Costa is out with a shoulder injury, while Nicola Pozzi requires a fitness test. Mihajlovic also gave a warning to his players that this is the time to show what they can do.
“The squad definitely has to be reduced, because it’s not easy to work with 30 players. You risk leaving someone behind.
“The side can always be improved, but from my first day here they have given me their all. We must remain concentrated on securing safety.”
