Boss Francesco Guidolin and midfielder Andrea Lazzari couldn’t hide their disappointment after the 2-0 home loss to Torino on Sunday.
The defeat means the club are now 15th in the table after winning just one of their last six in the Italian top flight.
“It was a bad, pale and unexpected day,” the tactician noted. “We talked to each other after the first half, in the locker room, but as soon as we entered the pitch we conceded.
“Torino earned their win and we were not dangerous at all. We needed a different kind of performance and attitude to beat them.
“We can’t seem to find any consistency.”
Lazzari, speaking to Udinese Channel, noted: “We will analyse what happened this week as we have taken a step back.
“We tried to build our game, but we didn't have many chances, on the other hand Torino made the most of each and every possibility they had.
“Now we need to take a look at the standings and move on. We'll try to leave this game behind and I am sure we'll do better.”
The Bianconeri have games against Livorno, Verona and Sampdoria next.
