Parma chief Tommaso Ghirardi has cooled talk of a possible swap deal involving Marco Parolo and Milan’s Alessandro Matri.
The midfielder has been paired with a January move to San Siro and there have been suggestions that Matri, given his difficulties, could be offered in exchange.
“Parolo is doing some great things with us here and we are hoping to keep him,” Ghirardi commented.
“We’re not looking too far ahead and we are not talking about a swap with Matri, even if he is a great player.”
Parolo has scored six goals in 15 League games, while Matri – an €11m summer signing from Juventus – has grabbed just one goal in 13 top-flight ties.
