The currently sidelined Luis Muriel is hoping to be back in action with Udinese at the start of the New Year.
The Colombian international has been out of action since November with a right thigh muscle problem.
“I’m recovering and everything is going well,” stated the 22-year-old. “I’m working a lot in the gym and I should return to playing in January.
“I’m training twice a day with the intention of being back as soon as possible.”
Muriel has scored five goals in 15 games for the Stadio Friuli outfit so far this season, but he wants to shine in order to make Brazil 2014.
“I think I have a chance of going to the World Cup,” he continued. “But it will all depend on how consistent I will be.”
