Ishak Belfodil confirmed he must talk to Inter about more playing time “or the market could provide a solution.”

The 21-year-old Algerian striker was picking up an award in his homeland when he commented to the media.

“I hope to play more often, something that isn’t happening at the moment,” he told Le Buteur and news agency APS.

“The transfer window is getting closer and I have to talk to the directors, because I want to be competitive going into the World Cup.

“I am happy at Inter and cannot complain, even if I know that I don’t play very much and the transfer market could offer a solution.

“The Algeria Coach was right to say I could be at risk for the World Cup if I don’t play regularly, which is why I am looking at the market.”

Belfodil arrived from Parma over the summer, but has made only 10 appearances between Serie A and the Coppa Italia.
