Stefano Sorrentino says he has no intention of leaving Serie B side Palermo during the January transfer market.
“Fortunately I haven’t heard any rumours about myself yet,” the 34-year-old told Media Gol. “Unless you journalists start talking about it then the market will have nothing to do with me.
“The club also decided to keep me in the summer so I don’t think that I will be on the move,” added the former Torino man.
“The winter break will change nothing because it is my intention to stay here.”
Sorrentino, currently sidelined with injury, moved to Sicily last January from Chievo Verona.
Palermo were relegated from the top flight last term, but they are presently top of the second tier ahead of Empoli, Crotone, Lanciano and Avellino.
