Inter’s Diego Milito has dismissed suggestions that he could be on the bench against Milan this weekend.
The Argentine has had a frustrating campaign given that he suffered a thigh strain soon after returning from knee ligament damage.
Milito is back in training, but he has played down whispers that he could be in the squad for the tie against his city rivals.
“The idea is to look at January, because there's still a small risk and no one wants me to get injured again,” he told Mediaset on Thursday.
“What matters is working well from here till the end of the year.
“I'm well, I'm finishing my treatment, I feel good, I'm training with the team and my teammates and I'm nearing the level I need to return to action.”
Milito, now 34, has scored two goals in three appearances which have totalled just 64 minutes so far this term.
