Parma have quickly denied speculation that Antonio Cassano could be set for a return to Sampdoria in January.
The forward, a summer signing from Inter, has often admitted that he would like to play for Doria again after leaving Marassi in January 2011 for Milan.
“Antonio is training with Parma and I yesterday had lunch with him,” director general Pietro Leonardi noted.
“I’ve read all sorts of things about him over the last few days, but there is absolutely no truth in the stories.”
The 31-year-old has scored six goals in 16 League games so far for the Stadio Tardini outfit.
