Hellas Verona President Maurizio Setti has insisted that Sean Sogliano has the interests of the club at heart.
The sporting director has been heavily linked with a switch to Milan over the past few months, but the Gialloblu chief has claimed that his board member is ignoring the talk and focusing on his job.
“We will talk about that when the time is right,” he told Hellas Verona Channel.
“But he is a proper person, like me, who only has the interest of the club at heart. We are continuing to work well.”
Setti then reflected on what his highlight of 2013 was.
“The promotion is surely the best moment from this year. But in 2014 we just want to improve on what we are doing.
“It is that mentality that will hopefully set us apart.”
