Lazio look to be a step closer to tying Hernanes to a new deal, with President Claudio Lotito claiming that negotiations will start soon.
The Brazilian playmaker’s current deal ends in 2015, but with rumours of Juventus and Arsenal circling, the capital club are keen to keep the 28-year-old at Stadio Olimpico.
And this evening the side’s chief has revealed that they hope to sit down with the attacker’s agent in the New Year.
“Hernanes is a great player,” he told LazioNews24. “We have to keep hold of our best. That is the attitude of this club.
“We have a good relationship with the agent [Joseph Lee] and we want to try and find a solution that’s best for us and for the boy.”
