“Scoring against Inter is always special,” Kaka told La Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper.

“I remember that I netted on a Gennaro Gattuso cross from the left, a real rarity… It is a difficult moment for both clubs, but to win and score my 100th Milan goal would be a wonderful Christmas present.

“We lack consistency and had the wrong approach in some games. I don’t know if it’s an issue of maturity, but we need the same determination in every match, not just the big ones. We’re in the growth process and it can take us towards a great future.”

Kaka feels Mario Balotelli is also learning after rediscovering his scoring touch.

“I do see a different Mario now. He is a good lad and too much responsibility was put on his shoulders when he perhaps was not ready.

“Carlo Ancelotti wanted me to stay at Real Madrid, but they started buying important midfield players and asking the Coach to get the best out of youngsters, so I realised there was no room for me. Ancelotti confirmed as much and it was no problem, we made the decision together.”

Before returning to Milan, the Brazilian was also linked with the MLS and a move to his homeland.

“I hope to stay here for many more years. I’m not thinking about a return to Brazil, though at most I’d go to the USA for a few years, but the future is a long way off yet.”

Former teammate Seedorf has been heavily linked with the job of Rossoneri Coach, even though he is still playing for Botafogo.

“Clarence gives his best in everything he does. He will be a great Coach, even if there is a lot to learn. I don’t know what it would be like for him to start at Milan, but he can hold his own.”
