Vincenzo Montella has David Pizarro back for Fiorentina’s trip to Sassuolo and praised his “big brother” Eusebio Di Francesco.

“Pizarro has recovered and is in the squad. Unfortunately he didn’t train much over the week because he had back pain, but it is clinically proven that at times that just flares up,” said the Coach in his Press conference.
Mario Gomez, Gonzalo Rodriguez and Ante Rebic miss out, while Juan Guillermo Cuadrado is suspended.
“We missed Gomez and made up for his absence with some young players who can and must improve if we want to become consistent.
“Considering our pre-season objectives, we are satisfied, but must understand that if we are to look higher than everyone has to do better.
“It is the last game before the Christmas break and this is why I fear it, as I don’t want anyone getting distracted. Sassuolo have a very strong attack and aside from last week’s defeat to Juventus they have done well against the big clubs.
“Di Francesco was like a big brother for me when we were at Empoli together and we remain very good friends. I like the way he trains his teams, as he takes a very attacking approach and in every situation his sides know what to do.
“We have to be absolutely concentrated tomorrow or we risk making fools of ourselves.”
