Gian Piero Gasperini warned Genoa against expecting Bologna to be pushovers in today’s early game.

“It will be an important match for both teams, as they want points considering they are in a negative period of form, so they won’t make it easy for us,” said the Coach.

“It is going to be complicated and we must be focused right to the end in order to pick up points and continue to climb the table.”

Bologna are in crisis and Coach Stefano Pioli is hanging by a thread with reports Roberto Baggio could be called in over the Christmas break.

Meanwhile, Genoa are without Daniele Portanova and Francesco Lodi, but Mario Alberto Santana and Sime Vrsaljko have recovered.

“Alessandro Diamanti is a dangerous player for Bologna, as he has a great shot from distance that we must try to limit, but also watch out for the whole team.”

Genoa squad for Bologna: Antonelli, Antonini, Bertolacci, Biondini, Bizzarri, Calaiò, Centurion, Cofie, De Maio, Donnarumma, Fetfatzidis, Gamberini, Gilardino, Konate, Manfredini, Marchese, Matuzalem, Perin, Sampirisi, Santana, Stoian, Sturaro, Vrsaljko
