Palombo: Samp can survive

Angelo Palombo is confident Sampdoria will have nothing to worry about should they be able to remain on their current path.

The club were in relegation danger before Sinisa Mihajlovic replaced the axed Delio Rossi on the bench.

And after remaining unbeaten in their last five Serie A games, the port outfit are now fourteenth in the standings – just one point behind Milan.

“What’s happened? I think a number of things have all helped,” noted the midfielder. “We’ve found a consistency in results and this gives us hope.

“If we continue to work like we are right now then all will go well.”

Sampdoria will resume their campaign in the New Year with ties against Napoli and Udinese.
