Fiorentina medics confirm there has been a “clear improvement” in Mario Gomez’s knee injury.
The German international has been out of action since damaging ligaments in September, as though that problem has healed, his knee became inflamed.
This afternoon Fiorentina released a statement confirming new tests showed “a clear improvement” in the inflammation of the tendon.
“The athlete will continue this phase of rehabilitation over the next few days, which includes exercises both on the field and in the gym aimed at recuperating strength before he returns to working with the squad.”
However, as Gomez is still not training with the group, it’s not clear when he will be able to make his comeback.
