Antonio Cassano has dismissed rumours of a January switch to Sampdoria by committing his immediate future to Parma.

Speculation has suggested that the Italian was looking for a move to Marassi this month even though he only joined the Tardini outfit in the summer from Inter.

“These rumours have disturbed me,” he stated on Thursday.

“I haven’t spoken to Sampdoria President Edoardo Garrone, I’m happy at Parma and I want to remain at Parma.

“I’ve always said that I would like to go back to Sampdoria one day, but I am treated like a king here at Parma. I’m really happy in this place.

“I’m proud to be here and I’ve done well so far, but I will do even better for Parma.”

Cassano, now 31, joined Doria from Real Madrid in the summer of 2007. He left in January 2011 for Milan after a disagreement with then chief Riccardo Garrone.

The player has netted six goals in 16 League games so far this season.
