“Andrea Bertolacci has recovered, but with Luca Antonini and Daniele Portanova we’ll only make a decision at the last moment,” said the tactician in his Press conference.
“People say our squad is too large, but my choices are limited for this match. Francesco Lodi has moved to Catania, Juraj Kucka’s season is over and Mario Santana is still out injured.
“We trained well for 10 consecutive days over the Christmas break, but are ready to dive back into a very difficult League. It’s more balanced than usual this season, as there are no easy games.
“The result against Sassuolo is fundamental because a victory would give us a real push forward into mid-table.
“The Neroverdi picked up points away to Roma and Napoli, so they are not to be underestimated. They have remarkable enthusiasm.”
