Sassuolo are fighting West Ham for striker Ishak Belfodil, reportedly offering €3m for a co-ownership deal.
The Algeria international has made it clear he wants a move away to gain more playing time ahead of the World Cup.
According to transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, West Ham have basically agreed terms to take him on loan for six months and he could fly in to London for a medical on Tuesday.
However, Sky Sport Italia maintain Serie A minnows Sassuolo are ready to intercept those negotiations with a much more impressive proposal.
They are offering €3m to buy out half of Belfodil’s contract and pledge to let him play regularly, increasing his Serie A experience.
QPR are also said to be interested in the former Parma striker’s services.
