“This game can change the balance of the season, but there is a long way to go yet,” Totti told Sport Mediaset.

“We will try not to lose tonight, as we know that we are facing one of the strongest teams in Europe.”

This week the captain stirred up controversy when he said Juve “tend to win with help,” something Coach Antonio Conte called “pub talk provocation.”

When asked about that phrase, Totti was unrepentant.

“Everyone is free to say what they want. I expressed my thoughts. It’s their problem if they got upset.”

He also spoke to Sky Sport Italia in the Juventus Stadium mixed zone.

“It is a game that goes beyond the limits and everyone would love to play in it. Are we like my Scudetto-winning Roma? That was a solid, strong and united team, while we are getting there.”
