Lazio goalkeeper Etrit Berisha mocked Inter after his Serie A debut. “They didn’t seem like an extraordinary team.”
The Albanian international shot-stopper was a late inclusion in the starting XI on Monday night due to Federico Marchetti’s injury.
“I have to say the truth, Inter are the most prestigious club I have faced in my career, but they didn’t seem like an extraordinary team,” Berisha told Panorama Sport.
“Perhaps the most dangerous opponents I’ve taken on have been Norway.”
Nonetheless, he was impressed with his Serie A bow at the Stadio Olimpico, which was also Coach Edy Reja’s first game of the season after replacing Vladimir Petkovic.
“I’ll never forget the atmosphere you could breathe in before and after the game, plus at the moment when Miroslav Klose scored. It was an extraordinary sensation.
“I received many compliments after the game, including from director Igli Tare. When will I be first choice? The important thing is to gradually earn the trust of the Coach and the fans. All the rest will come with time.”
