Adriano Galliani has played down talk of Milan sending Alessandro Matri to Sampdoria on loan.
The striker has been increasingly linked with a move away from the Rossoneri, after a difficult second spell at San Siro.
However, on from defending the player against a poor reception from Milan’s fans, the club’s Vice-President has dismissed rumours that he is on the verge of a loan switch out to Samp.
“For the moment there are no negotiations with Sampdoria to send Matri to the Blucerchiati,” Galliani has told Sampdorianews.net today.
“No director has contacted me to ask for a loan so far.”
The Corriere dello Sport today are running the line that Edy Reja has indicated his preference in Lazio pushing to take Matri this transfer window.
