Giaccherini 'won't leave Sunderland'

Emanuele Giaccherini’s agent insisted he “will 100 per cent not leave Sunderland” despite reports of a Genoa bid.

The Italy wide man only made the move from Juventus to the Premier League this summer.

“Giaccherini will not leave Sunderland, I can confirm that 100 per cent,” representative Fulvio Valcareggi told calcionews24.com.

“A few months ago we made a precise choice. We left Juventus, where he had done very well, and have not changed our minds in such a short space of time.

“It’s true Sunderland’s position in the table is not good, but it will improve with Emanuele’s help. After winning two Scudetti with Juve, he is ready for the third: safety from relegation with Sunderland.”

Sunderland have already done business with Genoa, as midfielder Cabral moved to Marassi today.
