Catania have added to their Argentine contingent with the signing of defensive midfielder Fabian Andres Rinaudo from Sporting CP.
Reported over the past month as in talks over a deal for the 26-year-old, Sporting confirmed earlier this week that negotiations were in progress for the player, who has managed only a handful of appearances this term.
Catania this afternoon have now confirmed his capture on an initial six-month loan until the end of the season, with a clause in place to make that permanent come the summer.
Rinaudo, who joins 13 of his compatriots at the Stadio Angelo Massimino, has four caps for the Argentine national team.
The former Gimnasia player, who is known by his nickname ‘Fito’, holds an Italian passport.
